Thankful for an Amazing God

Last week I started walking again!  Granted it is only a few steps, but I am so grateful for any amount.  It makes everything easier and more bearable. 

I have Secondary Progressive M.S.  In my case, this means I have been limited to a wheelchair when out of the house since 2001, and in the house for the past three years or so.

Although I used to have a standing, walking quotient of about 5-8 minutes, that reduced over the years until walking ceased about 3 years ago.  I could stand with help and a great amount of effort and pain, forcing myself to take a step or two to facilitate transfer.

How did this happen?  I believe with a lot of prayer from friends, blog readers, and strangers who cared enough to pray.  I had received massive doses of steroids often given to M.S. patients when they decline.  You receive 1000 mg of solumedrol (steroid) by I.V. daily for a 3-5 day regimen.  This helps put many back on their feet.  All I ever received were horrendous side effects like migraine headaches, personality mood swings, acne, hunger/weight gain to name a few.

Recently I needed to take a dose pack of Predinsone for a different condition.  Something I have done many times in my life, and several times since having M.S.  I have also received daily injections of steroids for two weeks at a time due to acute asthma.  No one was more surprised than I that 21 little 4 mg pills managed to get me up walking...except perhaps my neurologist!  That is why I know it was much more than those little pills.

Praise the Lord!  God is faithful to fulfill what he has promised.  Sometimes we expect every miracle to be immediate.  We live in a fast environment with drive through windows, microwave foods and instant everything.  Sometimes God takes us THROUGH a situation, and sometimes he DELIVERS immediately from it.  I have received both kinds.  I am thankful for each. 

If you reach out to him, whether you are in pain, lonely, desperate or just to commune with him...I promise you he will be there.  Some of our most difficult times are when we cannot see God's work in our lives.  That is because sometimes he is working in secret behind the scenes, and sometimes he is working publicly. 

Either way, he will give you the peace that passes all understanding if you trust in him, and lean not unto your own ways of thinking.  God's ways are different than ours.  His thoughts are higher than ours.  He can see our future, and is already there.

Project Prayer

Dear Frends - thank you for coming here.  I need your help to receive a miracle of healing.  It is urgent.

Although I am Christian, there are two files (word documents) of prayers.

• One labeled: Healing Prayers - Christian
• One labeled: Healing Prayers - Other

Please read these Out Loud on my behalf.  That sends the words into the universe to make changes.  It does not work the same if not spoken aloud.  I realize you are busy, and probably would not have time to read all of these every day.  Please read at least some every day for thirty days.

It is not necessary for you to believe as I do; I only ask that you speak these for me.  I need people to be in "one accord" with me and asking that certain things be said (and nothing else) is important for being in one accord. 

Just as there are natural laws like the law of gravity, there are also spiritual laws.  Whether we believe in the law of graivity does not affect it.  It is the same with spiritual laws - they exist with or without our belief.  Such as "calling those things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17), the law of agreement (Matthew 18:19) and being in one accord (Philippians 2:2) (Joshua 9:1-3) (Acts 1-13-14) (Acts 5:12).  We can have what we believe, saying (speaking out loud) (Mark 11:22-24) to name a few.

I am not discussing my physical situation at this time because I do not want that negative energy released into the universe.  (Speaking out loud and believing works in the negative as well as the positive.)  There will come a time when I will tell you.

If after reading my request, you feel you are not able to do this - please do not feel badly! God is more than able.  I will not love you any less.  I am doing this according to Biblical principles.

Is any one of you sick?  He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.  If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.  James 5:14-15

Your prayer works as well from a distance as those said in my presence.  There is no distance in prayer (Matt 8:5-10). 

Dear God,

Thank you for your loving kindess, and your mercy that is new every morning.  We give you praise for who You are.  You are our strong tower, and our ever present help in time of trouble.  you are Jehovan-jireh (provider), Jehovah-shalom (peace), Jehovah-rapha (healer), Jehovah-shammad (The Lord is present), El Shaddai (strenth giver) and El Olam (everlasting.  You are the Alpha and the Omega.  The beginning and the end.

I thank you for my friends who have heard my plea and come to my aid.  Father, you told us to call Your promises to Your remembrance.  You said if we are in agreement, we can have whatever we ask, believing.  You also promise us that wherever two or more are gathered in Your name, You are with us.  You sent your Word and healed us of all our sickness and disease.  You are the same today, tomorrow and forever.  You promised never to leave us or forsake us, and that if we dwell in you - you will dwell in us.

Heavenly Father, I ask you to pour out a blessing on these dear friends that will fill them and overflow in every area of their lives.  If any be sick, let them be healed.  If any be in lack, let them receive in abundance.  If any be hurting, comfort them.  If any seek You, let them find You.  Please keep them safe within your loving embrace.
